Fatty Mi Hun Ge... Fatty?!?!

The word "Fatty" brings back memories... The word was used for all sorts of reason from nicknames to teases...

Now, after visiting one of the more prominent food outlets in Klang, i decided that its not nice to use the word "Fatty" to tease anyone... HAHAHA... This happens to be one of the rich & famous "Fatty", even visited by a television talk show "Ho Chiak"...

Not this one...
Just thought that the name of the restaurant is kinda funny...

Its this one, two shops after the "Yellow, Green, Red restaurant"...

Here is the bigger picture... hehe

Told ya'll that this is no ordinary "Fatty" shop...

This is the boss' son...
Its a family run business ever since it was established years ago. The sons, daughters, mom & dad take turns standing behind the stove to monitor the indonesian maids helping out with the cooking & also to control the cooking quality...
Can you believe it? The cooking line is manned by one of the family members along with 4 other maids... This is to cater to the demands of peak hours like lunch & dinner....

Price List...
Customers can order extra helping of condiments ranging from "Ikan Bilis", "Deep fried Onion", to "Pork Liver"... at a fraction of a price...

This is the pictures of the newspaper & "Ho Chiak" coverage...

The highlight of this blog... "Mi Hun Ge" a.k.a. Pan Mee "hand peeled"

This dish is normally prepared by using water boiled with dried anchovies over a few hours to derive its natural sweet taste into the soup. This particular broth is special because not only dried anchovies but also "Tung Choi" (a type of pickled vegetable) is added to get a distinct light tangy taste.

The dough is hand peeled to near perfect thinness to get the smooth texture.

Customers whom frequent the shop, would normally add extra portion of  "Ikan Bilis" (dried anchovies) to go with the dish as it is delicious for the cooked dough to go with the crunchy anchovies...

"Mi Hun Ge" is definitely not to go without chili padi... slurp, slurp...

Definitely me & aaric's favourite...

Come down to Taman Berkeley, Klang to try it out for yourself...
