Boston!!! Restoran Boston Baru Klang...


As Klangites, the mere mention of "Boston", we will know which boston is it that the name is referring to... "Restoran Boston Baru Klang"...

People from all over, comes to this particular restaurant, to spend time waiting at least an hour, just to eat its famous dishes...

Most people, waiting at least an hour for food is something that does not even cross their mind, Boston is where the customer starts counting down only when they are able to get their seat... That means you gotta wait in line for your tables too... HAHAHA, however, all the hassle is worth goin through...

So happens that a group of my friends wanted to revisit this joint, and we did... Three tables with people from Penang, Kuala Lumpur, & even Taiwan arrived at 12AM in the morning... Lucky for us, the crowd had reduced and we only waited for about 45 minutes before our food arrived...

The Menu of the night:-

 
"Shu Fun Gun" (Tapioca Starch Noodles)

- Stir fried with slices of lean meat, prawns, leeks, & egg... Kinda like a hokkien stir fried noodle concept with a twist; the starch noodles...Stand alone dish...

"Ham Yee Fa Lam Pou" ( Salted Fish Claypot Pork Belly)

- Pork belly sliced thinly to about 5 mm thick and blanched in hot oil (seconds) before stir frying with dried chillies, scallions, onions, black soy sauce and salted fish bits... Then pour into a hot claypot to further extract the sizzling aroma of meat & salted fish... Great to go with rice...

"Shiong Thong Lala" (Superior Stock Steamed Lala)

- The fresh shell fish, steamed with julienne ginger, sliced chilli padis, rice wine, white pepper powder, drizzle of garlic oil, & garnished with deep fried garlic bits... Having this dish on a cold weather / rainy day is the perfect combination...

"Kiong Chung Yee Pheen" (Stir Fried Fish Slice w Ginger & Spring Onion)

- Half an inch thick grouper fish slice; powdered (flour) & deep fried, before stir frying together with an assortment of vegetables like carrots, spring onions, onion, & ginger slices. A nice helping of rice wine with superior stock is added for sauce before thickened with starch... Also nice to go with rice...

"Nestum Hae Gor" (Mantis Prawn Stir Fried w Oat Flakes)

- Sweet succulent mantis prawns, powdered (flour), & blanched in oil (minutes). Then tossed with oil blanched "Nestum" flakes, curry leaves, & egg floss... Garnished with sliced cucumbers & tomatoes... Nice finger food for any occasions...

For three tables, we finished 5 large portions of the "Shiong Thong Lala" dish just because the whole group liked the soup...
